I'm a fairly new resident been there about a months and a half. While there's been some bumps in the process the staff truly care. I know I can be a bit particular I like to say I'm organized go with the flow. Biggest thing for me is I have access to everything I am supposed to and it all works. At first not everything worked. But it systematically got fixed. With that being said the staff make this place. The staff are truly amazing. My leasing agent was Ibrahim (Ibra) I can tell he truly cares... I think that's the most important quality in a leasing agent. Thank you Ibra! They also have Helen and Ali both from my experiences are amazing! Both genuinely care about the residents. Even when you go back after being there a bit they know you by name and all 3 still care about you and make sure your unit is good. Lastly, and certainly not least lets not forget Daniel. He's the community manager and I appreciate his communication and his strong ability to problem solve. He is also very personable which is a huge asset for Cortland. I only give 5 stars when warranted. While this place isn't perfect (no place is) having staff at an apartment that genuinely care is hard to find.
If you are considering a new apartment consider Cortland at Van Dorn. They do care about residents and try help make your place yours. I am happy to call Cortland at Van Dorn home already!
