Madison Place

My experience at Madison Place Apartments was extremely disappointing. During my tenancy, I experienced what appeared to be water intrusion and mold growth inside the apartment. I also documented issues with the condition of the unit, including what appeared to be a cracked fireplace tile before I moved in.

After I moved out, I was charged more than $12,000, including $700 for alleged move-out damages. When I requested photographs, repair invoices, receipts, and inspection reports to support... the charges, I did not receive the documentation I requested. I dispute being charged for damage that I believe either existed before I moved in or resulted from maintenance issues rather than anything I caused.

I have filed a consumer complaint because I believe these issues deserve further review. I hope management improves its maintenance practices, inspection process, and communication with residents. Read More

I set my move in date over two months in advance, then 5 days before the move in date I was notified the apartment was unavailable and the only option was another unit that had a move in date of a month later, and was 100 dollars more a month. I asked if this 100 dollar difference in rent could be waived since I did not choose this unit and it would not have been my choice to move into it except for in this emergency situation. They told me that was not possible and I could either pay the up... charge every month or get a refund on my security deposit and live somewhere else. I absolutely loved the move in process the staff were very helpful and respectful. The property is beautiful we love to walk around the water, we cannot wait for summer to swim in the pool!

I lived there for 3 years. All of the mold reviews are factual and not just mold, black mold. You have to deal with the black mold until the lease is up. They will call it black dust and move on with their day. Upstairs apartment had a leak and it got into the vents and black mold was growing on the vents. I had to clean them myself regularly. Hot water heater busted and I walked around the apartment for 3 days in rain boots before they came to clean it out. The water got into the living room,... kitchen, bedroom, and dining room. The apartment smelled like mildew for weeks. They only replaced the padding and nothing more. AC went out in the middle of the summer and was left without air for several days. There were squirrels living in the area between the first and second floor. Porch was falling apart. Dasmen points are essentially worthless, you put in a work order for something new and they never do it. If you are okay with paying a grand a month for a painted over black moldy apartment then I would recommend this complex. The only plus was the location and that is about it. Read More
