Incredible community
Great apartment, great staff, great maintenance, and conveniently located. The community is always clean and the price is very reasonable. Glad to be staying here a little bit longer!

I’ve lived in this property for several years. The management has gotten worse every year. The maintenance crew is really nice. We had bugs and mold in our apartment. They crawled on me one night while I was sleeping. They ignored my complaint. The property manager told me that I may have a “nasty neighbor”. The mold was so bad that I had an infection. I should’ve left then but I didn’t. The property is very well kept but overpriced. They’re are newer apartments on 280 with similar prices and... more amenities. The courtesy officer is a joke. He’s never home when you need him. But he’s always around to ticket and tow a vehicle. New property manager is worse than the old one. Everything is ok until you decide to leave. Several of my neighbors and I have decided this is our last year at this property. Your home is supposed to be peaceful. Peaceful for me is having stable understanding management that is willing to help.

I currently live here and have lived here for just over a year. When I first moved in, everything was great, but over the last fee months it has all went downhill. They don't take care of the property like they used to and don't seem to care when a resident has a complaint. The biggest gripe I have now is, the pest control company they started using now, doesn't spray or treat balconies and patios. They also don't spray as effectively as the previous one. Over the last few months I have had Red... Wasps, water bugs, roaches and now have big carpenter ants coming inside.
If they management would have a tree company come out and trim the low hanging limbs off the apartments, alot of the pest issues wouldn't exist. But as I mentioned earlier, they just don't seem to care. Multiple calls to the office and even Sealy Realty (property owner) go without resolution. It's is getting bad enough that I am considering just paying the 2 months rent to break my lease.

I have only lived here four months. I was very happy when I first moved in, I love the apartment, BUT my upstairs neighbor and her boyfriend smoke WEED and it filters down to my unit. Now, when I say, filters down, I mean it smells like Snoop Dog threw a rager in my living room. It has been so bad on several occasions that my CHILDREN and I have had to leave our home. I have been to the leasing office to voice my complaint and they claim there is nothing they can do..."it's a gray area." I have... called the after hours operator FIVE times requesting a call back from management and have yet to receive even one. The on site resource officer says I need to call the sheriff because it is considered CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR. Do I WANT to start a war with my neighbor? No, but I might not have a choice. My daughter has allergies and wakes up with headaches after and the skunky smell of the marijuana makes it hard to sleep. It burns my nose and throat. Until recreational use of marijuana is legalized in the state of Alabama, this woman is breaking the law and Turtle Lake continues to act like it's not happening, like it's not affecting me, my daughters and our quality of life here. I'm pretty sure I'm well within my right to break my lease and move, but I spent all my savings to move here, so I'm stuck.

I moved here from the apartment complex next to Turtle Lake because the unit next to me got busted for drugs. I read all the reviews saying how great Turtle Lake Apartment is, I don't know what happened. In the few months I have been here I have seen police with their lights on once to twice a week. I asked the office what was going on? They told me it's just the police trolling. I've never seen police just trolling with their light on. Be aware! I think the reviews are fake on here.
