Read the fine print in the lease. Management does nothing about bad neighbors.
If I could give no stars I would.
The apartments themselves are ok but nothing special and definitely over priced.
Speaking from my experience living in building 9. Upon moving in the apartment wasn’t clean. I’ve dealt with trashy neighbors who refuse to use their garbage cans and leave bags sitting out, which attracts bugs, stinks, and stains the breeze ways. Since moving in the water has been stinky and our washing machine has rust on the internal basket. The ceiling fans squeak on the high... setting in every room. Neighbors smoke pot all the time which permeates into our master bedroom and bathroom at all times of the day and night. Management sends group emails out reminding people it’s a non smoking community but it does no good.
The main complaint I have is regarding their leasing practices. We moved in this past January. It’s now August and due to relocating for work we found ourselves needing to break the lease. We put in our notice and understood we would have to pay back any lease concessions plus a lease termination fee which equals two months rent, that was no problem but these shady assholes also wrote in the lease that on top of the lease termination fee which equals two months rent you have to give 60 days notice and pay rent for that as well. Effectively with the concessions we’re paying 6 months worth of rent to terminate the lease. So we’re looking at 8-9k to break the lease that we only have 7 and a half months left on, on a 14 month lease. At this point we may as well just keep the lease so these pricks can’t rent it out when we move out in a week and double dip on profits. I’m all for fair fees for breaking leases but what they’re doing should be against the law.
So be warned if there’s any chance you may have to relocate for work or have any emergency that requires you to break the lease you may want to find a different property management company that’s not out of their minds.
