Colony Townhomes

I toured the community yesterday and wanted to recognize the wonderful experience I had with the leasing team, especially Drew!

From the moment I arrived, Drew was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. He answered all of my questions honestly, never made me feel pressured, and did a fantastic job walking me through the community. His professionalism and positive attitude really stood out, and he's a huge asset to your team. I also want to recognize Marlene (or Marian—I... apologize if I'm remembering her name incorrectly). She was so kind, accommodating, and a pleasure to speak with both over the phone and in person.

Ultimately, my fiancé and I decided not to move forward (sorry to waste time Drew; however, I appreciate you!), but that decision had nothing to do with the staff. In fact, they were one of the biggest positives of our experience. Two other managers male and female I encountered were extremely professional as well.

The townhome layouts are honestly fantastic! Very spacious, well designed, and an incredible value for the price. It almost feels too good to be true in today's rental market. My hesitation came from the overall appearance of the community. Compared to the beautiful floor plans, the exterior and common areas feel dated in person. I think the management company should review all townhome buildings as they would benefit from fresh paint or annual power washing, the fitness center could use an expansion with free weights and more updated equipment, and the playgrounds and pool areas would feel much more inviting with some modern updates.

The biggest opportunity, in my opinion, is the leasing office. Since it's the first thing prospective residents see, it sets the tone for the entire experience. A fresh coat of paint, removing the wallpaper, updated furniture, some greenery, and a brighter, more modern design would make a huge difference. It would better reflect the value of the homes themselves and create the feeling of walking into a luxury community.

I hope this feedback comes across in the spirit it's intended. I truly believe this community has a lot of potential. The homes are beautiful, the pricing is very competitive, and the leasing team is exceptional. With a few cosmetic improvements, I would absolutely consider leasing here in the future. ?I strongly advise anyone considering The Colony Townhomes to look elsewhere. Since signing my lease, it has been a never-ending cycle of maintenance issues. I have had to submit requests almost every month for everything from leaking washing machines to clogged disposals.
?The most recent incident was the breaking point. Yesterday morning, I discovered a leak in my garage ceiling coming from the second floor. Maintenance’s "fix" was simply placing a bucket under the leak and marking the request... as resolved. By the afternoon, the leak had worsened. When I went to the front office to ask for an actual repair, I was met with complete indifference.
?The office staff dismissed my concerns, stating that because it was the weekend, they couldn’t get a vendor out until Monday. While they provided one temporary parking pass for my car, they flatly refused to provide a second pass for the healthcare staff who come daily to care for my special-needs son. Telling a resident that they aren’t "responsible for guests" in the middle of a maintenance emergency—especially when those "guests" are essential caregivers—is heartless and unprofessional. These properties are falling apart, yet the rent continues to rise. The management team functions strictly as rent collectors and shows no interest in maintaining a safe or habitable environment for their tenants. We recently moved to colony townhomes its been such a great experience here customer service is the best, LORENA is the person to talk to i recommend her 100 percent, very friendly and professional.. thank you for all your help.

By reading other reviews it seems like I am not the only one that was not able to look at the apartment until the move in date! Nothing to do with the model apartments, waited 3 hours at the lobby to finalize the sign off contract! Unit was dirty, fridge dented, carpet and walls with spots, missing outlets.
Very disappointed! Make sure to check the unit you will be moving into before even paying.
