Bay Breeze

I am a current resident as of March 2026. Retired combat veteran who is just trying to find a quiet place to live. My bills are always paid and I have never been late on rent in my life.
I have had problems with inaccuracies in the finance records of this place ever since I started trying to sign a lease. I have a service dog and I live in a little nook in the corner which is supposed to be my small balcony. I can't even let my dog go out on my balcony even though she just lays there and waits... for me and gets fresh air when it's 90° in my apartment.
The original property manager that helped me get into this place was cool and a veteran. He disappeared in and around april. Apparently that's the time when I was either being charged a pet rent for my service animal or there was a rent increase. I tried to address it I thought it was taken care of nope. I just got hit with a bill for $120. I cannot pay my rent each month with an outstanding balance so how can I get a bill for $120?
This is just one of the current battles. The second Battle that just arose last night was the use of illegal fireworks within the small quaint apartment community that I actually kind of like. It's basic and overpriced. Maintenance lives on site. Last night, Mr maintenance wife decided to let off fireworks around the dumpsters which echoed as I was about to go to the laundry room to check my stuff and take my service dog for her evening walk. Scared the crap out of her. My cat ran out the door and has disappeared and this is okay? These are tenant / employees.
I used to get a note on my door for every single thing that they didn't like. They wanted to look pristine of course. I was even told that the office chair and small mini desk I put out on my balcony was not allowed because it wasn't patio furniture. My goal was to sit out there on my balcony that is supposed to be part of my private place to maybe start writing and deal with my PTSD through the one creative expression I have. I'm not allowed to do that sitting outside at a desk that nobody can really see and doesn't bother a single soul. We have been living here for 10 months now and we love how well kept our complex is. Management does a good job at maintainence calls (ie: broken garbage disposal was fixed within a day). We also love the location of being close to Newport Beach and triangle square but not be overwhelmed with the traffic of tourists. I would give them 5 stars but sometimes management has some favoritism among tenants.
