Wrong manager to hire
I had a very disappointing experience dealing with the apartment manager, Alicia. In my experience, her communication was extremely unprofessional and showed a complete lack of customer service.
Whenever I tried to explain something or ask a question, she constantly interrupted me and would not allow me to finish speaking. She even called me a liar during our conversations. I asked her numerous times to please speak to me professionally and respectfully, and her response was, “I’ve been doing... this for many years. I know what I’m doing.”
I moved out over a month ago and still had not received my security deposit. Alicia called me today, and when I questioned her about statements regarding when my check was supposedly sent, she became extremely angry, defensive, and unprofessional. The information I was being given simply did not add up.
I want to make one thing very clear: everyone else I have dealt with in the office has been very nice, respectful, and professional. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Alicia. It’s disappointing because the rest of the staff should not have to be reflected poorly because of one manager’s behavior.
A manager should know how to listen, communicate respectfully, and handle disagreements professionally. Based on my personal experience, Alicia did none of those things.
