What to Know about Mayfair Station
Public municipal records show this diverse-income, 2-building development was approved Aug. 2, 2017: Mayfair Station (market-rate, opened Oct. 2022) & Elora Apartments (affordable, open spring 2026). Narrow pathway btn buildings.
Reliant Group changed property management during this tenancy. Bridge Housing manages affordable housing.
This resident paid timely rent for 3 years to 3/31/2026 & passed all inspections. Management often lacked follow-through, urgency, transparency, & systems.
To... date, residents have not been informed in writing about Elora’s open date or how increased residents, visitors, employees, parking, deliveries, & traffic impacts will be coordinated.
Residents also were not told front lot parking was temporary until written notice in mid-April 2024 terminated parking by mid-May, with no replacement plan or BART arrangement.
Prospective residents should ask about:
• Plumbing: unit’s only toilet repeatedly clogged for months, marked “resolved,” then failed again, forcing resident to use gloves to remove human waste so it would flush. Sat. emergency vendor & second vendor confirmed toilet-to-branch-to-horizontal cast-iron pipe issue causing recurring clogs. City engineering records confirmed. Plumbing work triggered building fire alarm on 3/30/26.
• Package security: carriers routinely left 15–25+ packages unsecured, exposing private details, with little oversight. Residents reported missing packages.
• Garage / risk: garage door remained open approx. 5 weeks in 2025, creating avoidable risk to residents, vehicles, & systems. A resident met second vendor addressing malfunction.
• Carpet cleaning: approx. 1 year passed without meaningful steam cleaning except after resident advocacy.
• Privacy: resident names & unit numbers displayed publicly outside, no opt-out offered to all; no response after written request.
• Cancer warning: California cancer warning posted at entrance without written explanation despite request.
• Follow-through: management often thanked residents but did not act reliably. On 2/18/2026, district manager directed on-site manager to address lease renewal; resident followed up; no response. Apt. listed before tenancy ended 3/31/2026.
