Horrendous
I was waiting to write this review since the maintenance staff has been super friendly and responsive, and have done everything they can within their capabilities, but this complex is corporate malpractice. Since the day I moved in several weeks ago, I’ve been complaining about the humidity level in my apartment being at 70% in some cases or higher. I had to purchase two dehumidifiers just to keep the humidity at 55%. This is California not Mississippi. It was clear there’s a water issue with... water somehow getting into the apartment. Maybe the walls or ground or something.
They found a problem with one of the sprinkler heads that was pointed at my building and another head watering a plant that literally never turned off. It was ok for a few days and the lake forming in front of my building had subsided during a recent heat spell. Just a couple days ago I came home to discover bowing in the building gutter system during a rain shower and you could clearly see in the picture the system was failing causing water to build up literally against the walls of the building. They did nothing immediately but said the roofer would come out and the landscaper again. It didn’t happen at all immediately or treated as an urgent matter then this weekends storms arrived.
Tonight, after more rain, about a half inch of water flooded half of my living room, my entire front porch, and water is soaking along the walls on the carpet in two of my bedrooms. The regional manager “Jennifer” called me and told me they could “discount my rent for the days I was wet” essentially. So a two day credit for hours of using every single towel in the house, ringing them out, and repeating and removing a half inch of water myself. I’m literally standing on furniture trying to unplug everything electrical as water is pouring inside the apartment. Maintenance came with a shop vac and a pump to do as much as they could but no professional teams were sent to deal with the emergency. Jennifer from regional told me their vendor wouldn’t come out while it was still raining. Seems they need a new vendor. Everything has been an absolute joke.
I have everything documented and pictures taken after multiple maintenance requests and emails to the front office. They didn’t treat this issue with any urgency and now we have a small disaster. You get what you pay for. There’s a reason rents in the older portion of this complex are below market. The management response is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Property Manager at Canyon Terrace Apartments responded to this review
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this has been. Water intrusion is something we take seriously. Our maintenance team responded promptly, and a restoration company has been engaged to address the affected... areas. We’re actively working to identify and resolve the source, especially following the recent storms, and will continue until it’s fully resolved.
