loved my experience here!!! be conscious of location

I have lived at the Medallion for a little over two years and have decided to move back to the Westside (because of how bad DTLA has gotten since COVID). That aside, my experience living here has been wonderful. Diana (the manager) is the sweetest and super helpful. I know she genuinely cares about each and every tenant!!! They’re very quick when it comes to maintenance and the building is very secure, so it is nearly impossible for trespassers to access the apartment floors. I am giving this... review 5-stars solely because of Diana and the maintenance staff has always been quick to resolve any issues that come about.

A few cons for prospective residents:
- this is borderline skid row, so keep that in mind that walking around isn’t always 100% safe. after COVID, downtown has gotten a bit worse — but I know that it will get better eventually.
- medallion changed their security company a few months ago. the previous security company (ran by Mr. Bailey) was a lot better and more attentive. The current security company can only be reached by a third-party dispatch number, so it takes much longer for anything to be handled.
- (this isn’t medallion’s fault) Amazon couriers are notorious for leaving packages in the mailroom. One of my packages was recently stolen as a result. Diana is working on preventing this in the future.

And now the pros (and things I will miss!)
- Diana is the BEST!! Maintenance staff is wonderful
- All appliances are all updated and well-kept
- Tilt Coffee in the courtyard. Just try it. Enough said.
- Pool (located on parking garage rooftop) is awesome. Had a lot of relaxing summer days there!
- Secured parking garage: keep in mind, it’s still DTLA so there have been some break-ins. Otherwise, it’s nice to have a designated safe-ish place to park
- great local restaurants to choose from
- fumee (convenience store in the building) has all the munchies!!!!
- My unit (and I think most?) has big windows and a lot of natural light

So overall, the pros have outweighed the cons (even though the cons suck). I’m grateful medallion has been my home for the past 2 years. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, as long as they understand the location.

Medallion Apartments

I just moved in here but so far so goo! The staff have/has been wonderful, responsive to every need, and very professioinal. The location is great--just have to keep in mind that you still have to be careful in the evenings but that is how it is everywhere. The apartment itself is so bright and comfortable!!! I love it!

Very Nice Building

I moved in last year so far I love it. I love having parking in the same building and washer/dryer in apartment.
I do recommend it very much. The area is great too. Many restaurants on Main St. Walking distance to metro and Grand central market.
