Terribly Managed
Building rushed to move me in two days after the last tenant, barely even making sure the place was clean, let alone ensure all appliances worked. Found steel wool in my broken garbage disposal on my first day. After about a week the maintenance person attempted to fix this by installing a new garbage disposal but installed it wrong causing my dishwasher to leak everywhere.
Washer/Dryer is a joke. It is a combiner washer and dryer in one machine. I had to have the dryer function serviced when... moving in because it was so clogged with lint (there is no lint trap so to clean out the lint you have to have it serviced) that the dryer function left my clothes soaking wet. Instead of fixing it, the staff stalled for weeks and told me I was probably just using it improperly and suggest I read the manual. I am an engineer, and this really pissed me off. Why would you assume the tenant is wrong without even checking to see first? The dryer function broke again, and they have closed my work order for it 5 times, saying they'll order me a new one and never doing it. Every time I put in a new one, they act like they had no idea it still wasn't working, and send someone to look at it, just to be told that they’re going to order me a new one and continue the circle of endless frustration.
My shower only produced extremely hot water, to the point of scalding me, and was never able to fix the issue. After six months of excruciating pain and frustration I looked up and fixed the issue myself within 10 minutes.
The gaskets for the windows are falling off, making the apartment extremely lacking in any kind of noise or temperature insulation.
Upon moving in I was never told that the doors lock automatically when exiting and was locked out of my apartment. That same week, my roof started leaking from three different spots.
Id like to say that this is all the problems I've had but I can't even remember all the different things, and I have only lived here for 14 months.
