I am very happy with the location, the staff and the complex itself. It is located a few blocks from Safeway, several restaurants and cafés.

The office staff have always been very nice and understanding in our interactions with them.

This place is all-electric, including an induction stovetop and a heat pump dryer. Our SMUD bill averages $110 / mo. Compared to our last home which had gas appliances, this is a drastic cut to the cost of our utilities, as the appliances and HVAC system are... very efficient.

Whenever there are problems we feel comfortable talking to the staff and knowing they will work to rectify issues. They have resolved issues with valet trash and some maintenance for us several times and they have always been understanding and motivated to resolve the issue.

There are two main things to note if considering moving here, however these are not the fault of the complex:
Unless you are next to a window, Verizon and AT&T drops data and calls throughout the building
Street parking is not hard to find but becomes difficult whenever there is an event at Ace of Spades on R Street

The apartment complex is located next to a vape shop. Vape customers park next to the vape shop and commonly block the access road to the parking garage. The access road is the only entrance to the parking garage. Also, the apartment complex smells. They've locked the trash chutes, so everyone leaves their garbage in the hallway for pickup. The trash smell, mixed with common vape and weed smells from multiple residents, makes it really uncomfortable living here.

I’ve been living at the Maker Apartments since January, and I honestly feel like I hit the jackpot with this place. From day one, the staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful—they always greet you with a smile and go out of their way to make sure everything runs smoothly. It really makes a difference knowing the team here genuinely cares about the residents.

The property itself is spotless. The common areas are always clean and well-maintained, which adds to the overall sense of comfort... and pride in living here. It’s clear that cleanliness and upkeep are a top priority.

One of the biggest perks is the location. Being right in the heart of Midtown means I’m just steps away from amazing restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and local events.

Maker Midtown has made the moving process extremely easy! From the day I went to view their apartments to move-in day! They have been so accommodating and patient! The quickness of their responses has made this stress free! I honestly feel like they have been the best apartments to work with! I cannot thank Tierra, Ashley, and Janiese for all their support!
