Been here 5 years, pros and cons.

I've rented from this property since 2021 and been through a transition of management that was pretty seamless - I'll give them that. Overall, it's a decent place, but there are some pitfalls as well (like with anywhere).

Pros: centrally located with easy access to public transportation, property is decently upkept. The rent feels pretty steep for the studio and 1-bedroom apartments, but the rent for 2 and 3 bedrooms feels pretty fair for the size, layout, and amenities inside (some have a...
fireplace, some have a W&D).
SHOUT OUT! Laura in the front office is an absolute DELIGHT. She's extremely helpful and goes out of her way to make sure the residents are able to get what they need and if she doesn't have the answer, she'll get it and follow up with you.

Cons: despite it being a 'marijuana free' location, it smells like someone's smoking in the buildings, the office manager is completely unprofessional and even if they make a mistake on their end, they will force the resident to conform to what they want with the threat of extra fees. Hot water has been out several times - upwards to 2 weeks - without any kind of accommodation or reduction in rent.

Hot Water Issues

Constantly water outages - at least once a month. Management says you can do things like run the dishwasher but the water doesn't even get hot enough to dissolve the soap. They are not concerned about the hardship it causes when residents can't come ho e to hot shower when it is below freezing out. Always blaming the age of the building but doing nothing to overhaul the hot water system. Be ready to advocate for yourself - know your rights and city code if you move in.

Hot Water is Frequently Out

Management may or may not tell you when the hot water is out. It's been out for 12 of the last 30 days. Property management staff does not care and left the office on Christmas eve without notifying their hundreds of residents that they would be without hot water for the holiday. There is no maintenance person on the team that is capable of basic boiler repair. No compensation for the fact that I have had to boil water in order to clean my home and bathe. People complain about the roaches, but... don't seem to be making the connection that the poor management of the property is actively preventing residents from being able to maintain individual units.

Water Issues

I am writing this review to express my frustration with the persistent issues I have encountered while living in these apartments. While some of the office staff have been courteous, the overall experience has been disappointing and unfair.

The hot water problem has been a recurring issue, happening almost every month. There have been multiple occasions where we have been without hot water for extended periods—sometimes lasting several days. On more than one occasion, we were without both hot...
and cold water for days, and currently, we have been without hot water for over a week.

This has become an ongoing inconvenience that affects our daily lives. It’s nearly impossible to properly prepare for work or school without access to basic amenities like hot water. The lack of hot water, in particular, is an unacceptable issue that should not be overlooked.

To make matters worse, despite these frequent disruptions, there has been no offer of compensation or even a discount for the days we have been without water.

Given these persistent problems, I would strongly advise others to avoid these apartments. The consistent failure to address basic living conditions like hot water is simply inexcusable.

Best Rental Experience Ever

Our family just recently moved in 2383 S Vaughn Way. Been here 1 month. Management is very good at taking care of us. I love the text messages for updates on what is going on at the apartment, helps when I am at work. Meeting my neighbors, they all seem nice and respectful. Unit is very clean and you really do feel like its home here. Building has a great security & maintenance team. I highly recommend any one that needs a place to live here.

Thank you & Happy Holidays :-)
