Moved Across States for This? Worst Apartment Experience Ever
When someone moves into a new apartment, they arrive excited and hopeful that everything will go smoothly. Now imagine moving from another state and choosing Avalon only because it has so many properties nationwide, only to end up completely disappointed by the inefficient, unethical, and unfriendly way the entire office team operates. Leaving the maintenance staff aside, it feels terrible to realize that your voice does not matter at all. How is it possible for them to lie to you from the very... beginning? The people giving the tours were not only unfriendly, but also had absolutely no customer service skills. I was told I would pay prorated rent for the month I moved in and then receive three months of free rent, and now they are suddenly saying something completely different. What kind of lie and game is that? If I had known this earlier, I would have made different plans ahead of time. But no — when you complain, all they give you are absurd excuses that clearly show the only thing they care about is protecting the company, not the community they work for. What good does it do for Jessica, the property manager, to tell me she will speak with her team to make sure this kind of misinformation does not happen again in the future, when the damage has already been done to me? The lack of empathy and professionalism is unbelievable. I honestly do not understand how people who are so rude, inconsiderate, and completely unprofessional can be working in customer service.
