Dirty/Unsafe/PreMadonna office staff
Not worth the money. Homeless people everywhere. All night loud pool parties, unsafe parking lots, management staff acts like this is a Waffle House.

I've called a number of time to figure out what type of internet speeds they provide...no one could tell me. They did tell me that I'd have to pay for a $85 "media package" with cable and 100mb/s internet regardless if I used it or not.
I called Xfinity and they said they provide 1200 mb/s internet speed at only $40/mo
The $85/mo forced to have media package is a sham in 2023...
Parking is also an issue and garages are on waitlists meaning there's no point to moving in if you need a garage... .
Staff hung up when I asked why I was told that I had to do my own research on the internet capabilities at their own complex. Looking forward to speaking with a manager in the future.
Read over elsewhere and they are not averaging 4 start. it sounds like the community needs help.

The office staff are rude, rude, RUDE. The maintenance staff have one person that can fix your AC/Water Heater. So if they go on vacation, well none of your things are fixed.
The outside WAS fine when we moved in, but now there is a HUGE rat problem. They're crawling into cars, all over the dumpsters, raccoons as big as dogs wander the property. The trail to the East used to be beautiful, but is now overrun with homelessness (not their fault). They spent who knows how much money to PAINT THE... LANDSCAPING ROCKS and re-do the parking lot, both of which are now pointless because the lot is messed up and the first storm washed the paint away. The pool, hottub, clubhouse, and gym are absolute jokes. Chemical burns received from pool and hottub MULTIPLE times...
The crime rate has more than TRIPLED since we moved in. Vehicles broken into, package thefts, things stolen off balconies, mailboxes were broken into and un-repaired for MONTHS. There's always police on property. And the "security" guard they have is on-site MAYBE once before the sun goes down, in an unmarked car. That's it.
The tow company was super shady and just hooked and booked with no warning, after people pay A LOT of money just to park 5 buildings away from their front door. Not to mention the lights in the parking lot don't work. So I hope you have a flashlight. The snow-removal is atrocious. I've broken a leg, a wrist, and bruised my tailbone 3 times all at different locations in the complex because they don't shovel, plow, or lay down sand.
The inside was decent, but things are CHEAP and its apparent. Our ceiling is cracking all over, the door frames are coming unattached from the wall in places we don't even use (spare bedroom closet), the windows are drafty, everything creeks under our feet (sorry downstairs neighbors).
If I could give Avena Apartments in Thornton (not Avana, AvEna) zero stars, I would. Regret spending "luxury" money for a non-luxury complex.

I have tried to get my A/C unit fixed since my original move in date in December 2020. They have been by 6 times telling me I am wrong. My apartment sits at 80 degrees, while it is set to 69. I have to run the ac 24/7 due to this issue. There is no resolution, but to say sorry. Save your time. Rent somewhere else.

I thought this was going to be a nice place to live, boy was i wrong. Parking is horrible never any spots close to your apartment have to park across the complex or possibly at the target next door. I was in line for a garage since the beginning called 5 months in and someone forgot to put me on the waiting list. But aparently not and had to be put back on the bottom of the list. even 7 months in when i did get one they had my truck towed without warning while it was parked in front of my garage... . Yes there was room there. Towing company said manager called on it as illegially parked. Manager said the tow company drives thru and tows their own things. Know the manager dis it on ourpose cause everytime i call about it her story changes. When i parked my car in the garage the neighbor that stated i "annoyed her" stands in front of the garage so i cannot get out which ultimantly got me fired from my JOB. management did NOT A THING. police said it was an apartment issue bassically my downstairs neighbor must be good friends with someone high up so thy had a reason to terminate my lease renual. Even emailed the issues NEVER got a respose since i was fired due to the ----- who lives under me i got an otr driver position which i am home maybe 1 a month, every time im there she makes my life misserable so now i am as loud as humaly possible when i am there so her companints can be true now. luckily im out in a week. NEVER even called to let me know my lease wasnt renued found out by the paper that was laying on the ground by my door when i got home from otr. Management here is un believable. Almost rather be homeless. Well actually i will now because i had no idea my lease renual was terminated haha oh well.. Never was late on rent either. I guess its ok to have absolutely no respect for your renters. Dog poop everywhere, car alams go off all thru the night. Ac and heat never went down
