Big (Good) Changes Over the Last Five Years!

Renting is hard. I’ve lived a lot of places. If you’re thinking about renting here, I can recommend it highly. Talk to Dina in leasing, she is dynamic, knowledgeable, kind, and extremely competent.

The current management has really improved life here – a gorgeous new club house with a large salt water pool, old clubhouse is now a full gym with a smaller salt water pool, tons of other amenities you can read about on this site, I don’t need to list them here.

If you’re renting, the most...
important thing is it’s a safe, quiet community with kind people who look out for each other. Packages rarely go missing and if they do, they’re located quickly. The grounds and buildings are clean and well maintained. Units are spacious and modern – full size washers and dryers! And if you have a maintenance issue they’re extremely responsive. Those are the things that matter and they do them well here!

Lovely

We are in an apartment unit on the side with the social security office, and while we will not be renewing our lease due to having to move for a career change- I thought it'd be helpful for those considering
The Vinyards to share my experience. Since moving in 2 years ago we have enjoyed living here and watching the community grow around us. The grounds are well maintained and maintenance has been responsive. Even when we experienced that heat wave and our AC stopped working, along with what...
felt like every unit around us, the crew got out and addressed the issues as quickly as they could! I think a little patience and grace goes a long way- especially when you can tell they were trying their best to get to every unit. Definitely made is appreciate that we have access to a pool :)
The folks at the leasing office are kind and will listen to your concerns- shout out to Barbara.

We will miss walking with our little one around the lake- and the really pretty sunsets ;)

Been living here for 4 years, no issues

I have been living in the apartments for 4 years. The location is nice because you are close to route 1 but not directly on it. Living in the apartments by the road can be loud with traffic but the other buildings are much quieter. The leasing office has gone through a lot of turnaround in the past few years, but they are better now than they were at the beginning. New clubhouse and pool that opened this year are very nice.

Stay to the left!

Decent property. Nothing to offer that isn’t available elsewhere. The property is LOUD, The left are of the property over by the leasing office is quieter than the right side towards the shopping. Traffic is constantly heading to Redner’s and everyone cuts through the apartments even though Nassau road is reopened. You can only exit through the apartments. I wish apartments were available at Beach Plumb or just about anywhere else I looked. The noise here from Rt 9 is constant and in the... property traffic will wake you up as well. Pool is too small.

August WARNING

AUGUST WARNING
If you sign your lease in August they will charge you $500 more a month than you would pay the rest of the year for the exact same lease. My advice: if you must live here, wait until "summer rates" have gone away for the year. But also, maybe look into living elsewhere.
I signed my lease from out of state and was told over the phone that the units looked "exactly like they do on the online photos." When I arrived I discovered that my unit was carpeted and all the stainless steel...
appliances were pitted with rust. The photos online are very old. Another area that this is very obvious is the "fully-equipped fitness center" which houses a very small amount of undermaintained, outdated, (and usually sticky) equipment. This overlooks the tiny pool that goes to a depth of 4' and is typically filled with out of control screaming children that sneak in from a neighboring community.
The elevators throughout the community are known for going out, and in fact someone was actually stuck in one the other day. Luckily the fire department knows their way around this place as the apartments get evacuated on a regular basis due to gas leaks and elderly people leaving unremembered items in their ovens.
Lewes and the DE beaches area is an amazing place to live, just wanted to give a heads up to anyone considering living at the Vineyards, as they will TOTALLY take advantage of you if they can. They know they can in August.
