Not what it seems
I needed to find a place in a hurry as I just moved back to the area. This place was available and has updated units with nice kitchens, granite, all appliances. The complex is taken care of; Landscaping is nice, building is freshly painted, has a beautiful pool and a gym on premises. The bad is this place is extremely noisy. The windows are old so you here the trains which are a block away, the front gate banging, slamming doors, drunken ppl coming in during the night. Also, the... walls
are incredibly thin so you hear your neighbors next to you and above you. It may be worth a look for some but if you're noise sensitive steer clear!

First, I'd like to say I'm disappointed we could not earn a 5-star review from you but do want to thank you for the kind words you did share. We work hard to keep the complex in good condition and be able to offer more reasonable prices than some... of the surrounding new complexes in this corridor. Our building was completed in 1975 and we strive to update as much as possible and remain competitive in the rental market in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
We are working on solutions for the gates however unfortunately inconsiderate tenants and their guests slamming the gates is one of the pitfalls of community living. The trains no longer blow their horns at crossings in Broward County thanks to the newly upgraded crossing so hopefully, the noise that was associated with the crossing has been greatly reduced.
Again, I want to thank you for the kind comments about the building and I promise we will strive to work on the other issues you mentioned.
Be well,
Apex Management
