Disappointing
Overall very disappointed in the unit I moved into. I was advised that a thorough inspection was done before move in however the a/c was not working, the carpet was extremely wet, and the toilet seat is stained yellow. Maintenance came to fix the a/c however a couple hours later the ac stopped working and the carpet took almost 3 days to dry. Once the carpet was dried the house and room had a foul oder of mildew, raising concerns. My son and I have not been able to sleep in the room since we... moved in due to the carpet and awful smell. I asked to be transferred to another unit because it was not in ready to move in condition, safe and habitable for my son and I but the office refused. I am not able to directly contact corporate because leasing consultants in the office informed me that there was no way to contact corporate directly and all calls are redirected to the office. After refusal of a transfer they offered to transfer units for a fee of $1000, which I do not think is reasonable and appropriate since the conditions were there when I moved in and not caused by me. Very disappointed in the assistance I received.
