Noise!!
I hear the tv and conversations as clear as day from the downstairs apartment. Ive mentioned it many times now to the property manager but they refuse to do anything about it or let me out of my lease. The construction is extremely poor. It's thin pieces of wood tacked to the ceiling downstairs and a thin, cheap piece of carpet tacked to the wood. No padding, no space between floor and ceiling and no sound dampening whatsoever. It's hard for me to understand how they can get away with this and... why more people don't complain. Maybe certain apartments have been renovated but I would stay far away. I can only imagine how bad it is for the person below me. This is the most egregious offense but there are more issues. Kitchen floor wasn't completed so my oven dips an inch in the back. Shower rods were placed in the closet that fall anytime you try to hang something. Shower clogs constantly. And the cherry on top was it took them two weeks to finally provide me with a mailbox key only for it to be to the wrong one.
