Apartment was relatively clean and well furnished. When I mopped the floor for the first time, the water in the bucket was like a mud puddle, so obviously the cleaning people hired before we got there only vacuumed. The toilet bowl in the master bathroom was stained a deep purple - dirty. I was able to get it sparkling white and clean. Found items under both beds - sock, pacifier, change. Did not complain about any of this.
When we moved out, my roommate asked someone in the office if the... linens needed to be washed, they said no. She hired a cleaning service. They are still charging a cleaning and laundry fee.
We have been out 6 weeks and still have not received our deposit. Called and they told us we would only get $60 because they had to clean. $120 to shampoo carpet which is only in the bedrooms. I GUARANTEE you that the furniture was never moved to clean. Just cleaned the path around the beds.
The windows are very poor. Could hear whispered conversations of neighbors below us on their patio and can hear all the noise at the pool VERY loudly.
If our deposit had been refunded us in a timely fashion, I never would have even left a review. Their contract states that the refund will be returned within 30 days. Not so. Read More

If I could, I'd give this place zero stars. I have rented from many different places since I started living on my own some 10 years ago and I will tell you the broken down pit of a complex I lived in, in San Diego was a better place than the Regency. The office staff may be kind and plenty helpful when you are trying to get into the place but after you're a tenant you'd be luck to get any help at all. First off, we had a horrible time with the neighbors, the complex is put together poorly and... since the buildings are cheap the walls are horribly thin. We had three children who were woken up night after night at 1, 2 or even 3 a.m. becuase our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were hosting a WWE showdown. After going to the neighbors directly several times to let them know that they wer being very loud and keeping our children up we went to the office staff for some back up. They told us they would tell the neighbors to keep it down but they never resolved the issue. We ended up having to call PD and involve them for noise disurbances because the complex couldn't handle the problem themselves. Read More
