Dogs
Really way too many dogs that bark, bark, bark and bark, and poop in the common areas. There were a few times when we nearly stepped on it. Gross!

Moved out recently. It was simply not worth the rent hikes. First, the building, while nice looking, was not built well. The walls are thin, the pipes and appliances are balky and the elevators have had numerous issues. Second, it can be very noisy. Yes, being right near the metra station is not helpful, but if the building had better sound proofing, it might be better. But there is also too many unruly dogs and idiotic owners who don't know or care to train their dogs not to bark very... late at night. The building is also too lax in dealing with this issue. But last time I checked, dogs don't pay the rent.

Neither great nor terrible. We had an issue or two -- and some of the people we know still living there have had it too. One issue is the location. Nice that it's near the Metra but not a lot to walk to -- so if you have small children or are expecting, as we are, there are better options. Also the maintenance team are far from being all stars. They were erratic.

I have lived in Quincy Station for more than a year and love everything about it, especially the property manager, Cara (and her dogs)! The place has a very sleek look to it and a great color palette. Despite having lots of dogs, the sound insulation between rooms is amazing. It's really close to the train station and has a lot of cute restaurants within walking distance. It's a safe neighborhood perfect for everyone. Definitely consider if you're looking for an apartment!
