The units are very much stuck in the 90s which isn’t a huge deal to most people, but expect to pay around $100 more a month in utilities than what Tuckaway estimates. In addition, the maintenance team is rather handy, but repairs are grossly over priced (ex: $10 for a .90 lightbulb, $50 for a quarter sized hole in the drywall.) I have lived at Tuckaway for over 7 years. The management solve any rare issues quickly and are a great group of people! My son and I live in a nice 2 bedroom 2 bath with fireplace and TV included. We have 2 pools and one is right on the golf course. We also go to the gym most days. This apartment is more of a home then any house I have ever lived in. I love it here. :)

The Tuckaway Apartments are well positioned on a KU bus route and offer fairly large units with balconies. The units have open floor plans with well appointed kitchens and a fireplace. The grounds are very well landscaped with two pools on site. Management does a pretty good job restricting pool use to only residents, this can be a big issue with students in August. The one thing that prevented me from giving 5 stars is that everything is green. Dark green. The tile floors, the counter tops... , the shudders all green. Easy highway access and just far enough away from campus to steer clear of party central. Still close to downtown and within walking distance to a grocery store! Love it!
