Caution
I lived at the Haven from 2023-2026 (2 different units). When I first toward the community, it was under a different management and then when I moved in, it was a whole crew that I never talked to and had to call to make sure I had a place to move into. The first 2 years living there were great! No complaints and never had any issues. Ir wasn’t until I moved into a bigger unit last year that things started spiraling. We were under new management yet again and I had heard bad things. I was told I... could move in within a 3 day window and when I went to grab my keys, they claimed that no one would ever say that. My apartment wasn’t cleaned so they had to call in the cleaning crew day of and they only were there for 1 hour minimum. There were paint marks, holes, scuffs, and a cover missing from the light that was to be repaired but never was. After all that, I got dinged for my first rent payment because they claimed that they are not responsible for making a new account for me for this unit so I got charged a late fee without any notice beforehand. For a while, things were okay but I was constantly frustrated with parking and people would park right in front of my garage because it was “ convenient”. Unfortunately I had to terminate my lease so that process was a lot financially. Essentially 2 rent payments in one month both in April and in July. My family and I scrubbed that apartment down and cleaned it all but I still got dinged for old issues that were not repaired. I was told the last termination fee would be it but apparently not.
The apartments are quite nice. Good location. But there are other apartments in the Middletown area that are so much better and for a better price. The management team at the haven just seems swamped and ready for the next resident.
