Horrible Experience

This has been, by far, the worst move-in experience we have ever encountered. We have made every effort to be patient and work directly with the onsite team, but our concerns have gone unresolved.

Attached are photos of the condition of the apartment when we moved-in! It’s gross and unacceptable!

Throughout this process, communication from the leasing agent, Ryshita has been inconsistent and dismissive and our emails have gone unanswered. We received an incorrect lease, and upon move-in, we...
found multiple issues with the apartment, including an active toilet leak, a broken stove, missing trash can, missing shower rod, broken doors and a unit that was not properly cleaned. Additionally, the front door was unlocked when we arrived to take possession of the apartment.

What has been most frustrating is the lack of communication and accountability from management. Despite numerous attempts to address these concerns, the Property Manager has not spoken with us regarding any of these issues.

At this point, we are respectfully requesting that someone from upper management, regional management, or corporate leadership contact us or provide their contact information. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss our experience with someone outside of the onsite office and work toward a resolution.

We have documented our communications and concerns and would appreciate the appropriate leadership team that can help.

We have already attempted to reach out to the office team with no responses or follow up. This is so exhausting.

No communication no response for a week or two

Unfortunately, my experience with this property has been disappointing from the very beginning. For weeks, we communicated with our leasing agent via email, but many of our messages went unanswered. The only way to get updates or answers was to physically go to the office, and even then, we were often unable to get the help we needed.

We did not receive the floor plan we originally wanted, but we were willing to make the best of the situation. However, upon move-in, it was clear that no final...
walkthrough had been completed to ensure the apartment was ready. The refrigerator was dirty, there was no curtain rod installed in the bathroom, the front door was left open when we arrived, the dishwasher was visibly unclean, and the bathroom mirror was already damaged.

Throughout this entire process, it felt like our concerns were treated as an afterthought. Communication was lacking, and we often felt pushed aside rather than valued as future residents. As someone moving into the city for the first time, this was not the experience I expected or hoped for.

I'm sharing this review so prospective residents know what they may encounter. In my experience, even when you consistently follow up and advocate for yourself, it can be difficult to get responses, clear communication, or the level of care that should come with such a major life transition.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize that your move-in process did not meet the standards we strive to provide.
We understand how frustrating it must have been to experience communication challenges, delays...
in receiving updates, and maintenance and housekeeping issues upon move-in. Moving to a new city and settling into a new home should be an exciting experience, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations during this important transition.
Your feedback regarding communication, apartment readiness, and overall customer service has been shared with our team and will be used as an opportunity to improve our processes. We take these concerns seriously and are committed to providing a better experience for both current and future residents.
We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. If there are any outstanding issues that still need to be addressed, we encourage you to contact the management office directly so we can work toward a resolution.
Thank you for your feedback and for choosing The Saulet.

Cosmetic Upgrades Can’t Cover Operational Failures

As we enter another scorching New Orleans summer, I’m once again facing the same unresolved issue I reported last year: my A/C runs but does not cool, despite temperatures in the 90s. I reported the problem on June 25, 2025, and specifically requested a service check for low refrigerant. Instead of taking action, I was met with a dismissive response from staff, suggesting it was “normal” for the unit to not cool during extreme heat.

Five business days later, I’ve received no follow-up, no...
service visit, and no communication from maintenance, leasing, or management. This lack of urgency and accountability is deeply frustrating.

When I moved in last year, the A/C issue was already present, and I had to repeatedly follow up just to get minimal assistance. The resulting spike in my utility bill was only partially reimbursed. Now, the same issue is repeating itself.

To make matters worse, the new resident portal rollout has been full of glitches. I can’t even reset my password to submit service requests online.

Harbor Group Management’s handling of The Saulet has felt more cosmetic than substantive. Infrastructure and resident service are clearly not priorities, and that shows in how recurring maintenance issues are handled.

Tenants deserve timely communication, reliable repairs, and basic livability, none of which I’ve received.
