Home Sweet Home!

We moved in last summer and immediately it felt like home!! We LOVE living here so much!
We moved from out of state (which was stressful), but Julia in the leasing office was amazing! She quickly answered all my questions and sent me as many pictures and videos as requested.
The staff (everyone from the leasing office, concierge desk, and maintenance) are THE BEST in the business! So polite and incredibly helpful, all the time!
Third Square is immaculate, the location (Kendall Square) is...
perfect, having the parking garage in the same building, and our own Third Square dog park are also what we love about living here!

READ THE FINE PRINT

READ THE FINE PRINT when signing a lease!!!! If you have even the slightest doubt that you may not be there for the entire year, STAY AS FAR AWAY as you can! Your rent will jump in cost (not by $10's & $20's, but by $100's) when you receive your statement monthly. They will tell you that you have to give a 60 day notice and there will be no repercussions, but it is quite the opposite. Your rent will jump in cost when you receive your statement monthly and vary. We hit a personal tragedy with our... family, gave our notice and paid until we left. I was told that they would make an effort to rent out my unit as a top priority, and 4 months later, it still has not been rented. And they are STILL BILLING ME! Now I am showing a bill for $31,000! Please do not make the same mistake that we did, and do not take anybody at face value. Do yourself the favor and rent from a smaller agency that has a heart and not this company. I was told that they would make an effort to rent out my unit a top priority, and 4 months later, it still has not been rented and they are STILL BILLING ME. This event has completely destroyed my credit score. Yes, the building is attractive, but I promise, it is not worth the risk. This company gives an entirely new meaning to the word 'heartless.'

NOT a Smoke-Free Building! - Do not move here with a family or young child

Residents repeatedly smoke cannabis in the stairwells, and the odor permeates nearby condos for 3-4 floors due to the duct system. It’s so potent that concierge staff and leasing agents both agreed it was a potent cannabis smell 30 yards away from the stairwell. Living here with an infant is terrible. It smells in our kitchen, living room, and nursery. I have pictures of 4-5 burnt cannabis blunts carelessly discarded on our stairwell this Saturday (23 Feb) and more on Sunday (24 Feb).

We've...
repeatedly contacted the staff who came and taped over an air duct in our nursery. While the leasing staff are polite, they have failed to address this issue. Tonight, the Cambridge Police were consulted when the concierge on staff caught the resident in a chase down the hallway that startled many residents on the floor. Based on management’s lack of impact in the past, I’m doubtful anything will change, but I truly hope Equity will terminate the tenant’s lease because this is a leasing violation. While legal to smoke cannabis in Massachusetts, this is supposed to be a smoke-free building.

Bottomline: Be prepared for strong cannabis smoke permeating your apartment on a routine basis. If that’s not a problem for you, it’s a good apartment complex with nice amenities.

Great Place to live

Our apartment is beautiful and modern. It is a 5 minute commute into the city via public transportation on the best train line in Boston (Red Line). The building also has a number of benefits such as a gym, a pool, a movie room, a party room and grills outside for cooking in the summer.

Third Square Apartments

Wonderful apartment with a lot of great amenities such as grills for cooking, an indoor swimming pool, multiple gyms, party rooms and a movie theater. The building is also located near public transportation and is very close to downtown Boston.
