The previous management team was cooperative and easy to work with. Since the new team took over, the experience has been a disaster. Staff members are not collaborative and don’t even seem willing to understand tenant concerns.
For the first time, they increased our rent by 12%, which is even higher than the rates listed for new tenants. When I asked for an explanation, the response was simply, “It was decided by top management.” After some negotiation, they reduced the increase slightly, but... it is still around 7%.
I’m not sure whether I will renew my lease next year, and I would not encourage others to deal with this kind of situation.
