They will take your deposit
They will take your deposit. Apparently there was excessive wear/burns on my carpet and I have no idea what that could have been other than some minor regular wear and tear, and at no point was there a fire/flame anywhere in my apartment. When my dishwasher broke, it took 4 months for maintenance to fix. During this time, nothing seemingly happened unless I physically went in to the front office, often more than once, despite multiple maintenence requests/emails. Multiple times I would ask to... stay informed and told someone would update me the next day, which then did not happen. Even if they were "short staffed", I do not understand how it took 4 months and dozens of emails/in person visits to get it resolved. Completely unacceptable. I was then offered the pittance of a one time $40 dollar reduction in rent when the process was finally complete as if that made everything ok.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience living here. I agree, it took a very long time to repair your dishwasher. During those four months, we tried a couple different things to repair the... dishwasher, including running it through with cleaning solution, and then ordering parts we had to wait for. Unfortunately, none of these efforts resolved the issue, so we had GE come out to make the repair, which finally worked. I also agree about the short staffing, and lack of communication regarding the dishwasher repair; we passed along your messages to the person who was ordering parts and coordinating service. We were under the impression they were getting back with you, but unfortunately, they were not. We have addressed this issue with this service team member since discovering this issue. We also provided the concession as you mentioned for your inconvenience. I know the concession did not correct the lack of communication, or fix your dishwasher earlier, but it was something. I am sorry if it felt like a pittance. Regarding the damage charges when you moved out, it was necessary to replace the carpet in the apartment after you moved. Unfortunately, the carpet had not reached the life expectancy yet, so there was a charge for replacement for the remainder of the life expectancy. If you felt this was unfair or unwarranted, you were welcome to dispute the charges as indicated in the statement of security deposit accounts. I would like to thank you again for taking the time to share your sincere feedback. We will take what you shared to heart. If you have any further questions or concerns you are welcome to contact me directly.
Sincerely,
