Minnesota Heights Apartments

The ceilings/floors really transmit sound. I am on the top floor so I figured I wouldn’t have too much problems with noise since usually it’s the people above you that you hear the most. Somehow I can hear everything my downstairs neighbors do. I can hear them walking around, I can hear them cooking, I can hear them talking (and their little kids screaming), and I can hear whenever they are listening to music or watching tv. I don’t think they are even particularly loud neighbors, it’s just the... way this building is built that makes their noise transmit so well. Pretty annoying at times and really makes me self conscious of my own noise so I am tiptoeing around my apartment and watching tv at minimum volume because I’m sure the noise goes down just as well as it goes up. This is my second lease with Dakota Commercial, I have had only good experiences with this team except for recently with consistent noise complaints with nothing being done about it. Otherwise, it has been a great experience renting from these guys.

Location is great, close to downtown and to the Dakota commercial office too. Management is easy to get a hold of for questions or maintenance issues. The apartments are modern and have in unit washer and dryers. Overall a good place to live and company to rent from.

Good place & management. When is time to move out they will take all your deposits. No matter how hard you clean

smells bad in the halls but rooms are nice. only complaint is that other people stink up the hallways like food or filth but apartment is nice and so is parking.
