The neighborhood has potential to be fun and there are lots of things to do within walking distance.

Very disappointing

I had high hopes when I decided to sign a lease at the Walkway. I was unable to tour due to Covid restrictions, so management sent me a floorplan of the unit and a video of a unit with similar finishes. I packed according to the floorplan I was given, and when I opened the door to my new apartment, the floorplan was completely different. I had to call maintenance for issues with my appliances at least four or five times. On top of that, the common areas were poorly kept. People’s pets would roam... the halls, and I would find anything from dead plants and dirty underwear to food and animal vomit in the hallways. The wallpaper in the hallways was peeling, so they had a loud fan and big trash can sitting in the hallway for a week. The parking garage had a large puddle of dried animal (or human?) pee that hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and oftentimes the garage smelled like cigarette smoke. The location has started to feel unsafe whether it’s a shooting a block away or a homeless man sleeping in the front entrance so I am unable to leave my apartment. Further, there have been issues with stolen bikes and people breaking into cars in the garage and stealing valuable items. I have never written a review in my life, but I wanted to share my experience to save others from feeling like they spent a boatload of money to live somewhere they regret.

I would recommend The Walkway for its prompt management and maintainence team but ultimately I cannot recommend the apartment for the price, amenities or age of the building.

It depends on what stage in life the individual is in. There are a few residents who do not respect the common areas or are still living the "college life". This is somewhat annoying from time to time. Especially due to the fact that they do not know how to pick up after themselves or stop trashing the place.
