West Bottoms Flats

Ever wanted to get a taste of what it's like to live in New York without a New York City salary? Look no further than the West Bottoms. No amenities, ridiculous pricing for what you do get, tiny units, area is in the middle of the industrial area with crackheads roaming around just across the street. The buildings are nice and very modern with doors that lock access to all the units on the outside of the buildings so that's a plus I guess. When I lived there, they began renovations on a building... adjacent to the Abernathy building and subsequently shut down parking to all the lots next to the Abernathy building, forcing you to compete for street parking or park in the broken glass covered lot West of the buildings. I lived in these apartments for a year, they were extremely overpriced to get barely livable space. They try to justify pricing with other new properties in the area even though they charge extra for the few amenities they have. I would not recommend unless you want to live in a shoe box for the price of a car payment.
