Do NOT live here if you want peace and quiet

I am only giving it a 2-star review instead of 1 star because Jasmine (property manager) is very nice, and the amenities are hard/impossible to beat. However, this is not enough to salvage my experience living here, specifically living here as a surgery resident. Briefly, the pros are as mentioned above: kind property manager (Jasmine) that is responsive to feedback when she can be, great amenities (esp the gym), proximity to Forest Park. Building *looks* very nice, relatively new. Nice... community events, temp controlled garage. Now, the cons. The biggest, most egregious con for me is the NOISE. I have had to sleep with earplugs in since August/September (which sometimes still is not enough and I will get woken up), and have voiced numerous noise complaints to management. The walls are essentially just made of dry wall – there is NO noise insulation, both in the walls and in the ceiling. The absolute WORST part for me personally was the upstairs neighbors. All day, and all night, I can hear walking/stomping, moving/dragging furniture, yelling, TVs, animals running around… it has been so extremely disruptive that I have been absolutely MISERABLE nearly the entire time I have lived here. It has severely affected my quality of life living here, has made it extremely difficult to sleep or focus while working/studying, and honestly unless I’m wearing noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs I hear them. It is early in the morning, late at night, doesn’t matter. I have come home from getting called into work at 3am and still hear stomping/banging on the ceiling above me. Numerous noise complaints about this have come to no avail. Because of this, I consider the Chelsea UNLIVEABLE. If you value peace and quiet, or even just a good night’s rest, DO NOT LIVE HERE. This is especially true if you’re like me and already have fairly limited sleep due to work. You also hear everything next door and sometimes across the hall as well. To summarize, living at the Chelsea has been a miserable experience, only salvaged by the above “pros”. It is very expensive, the walls are made of drywall with no insulation, and at the end of the day if you cover garbage with a thin layer of gold, it’s still garbage. I have hated my life living here, haven’t slept well in nearly a year, and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone because of the above. Please, DO NOT LIVE HERE, especially if you are a resident or in the surgical field and already have a hard time getting enough sleep.

Great Place To Live If You Are Young

They host a lot of activities such as wine nights, live music nights, sports watch parties, pool parties, and more! Great amenities and an awesome area to live that is close to Forest Park, Central West End, and Downtown.

very loud and poor communication

As much as I wanted to love living in this complex due to the incredible amenities, the music and screaming from the pool has been shocking, constant and incredibly loud, often disrupting my sleep and work. As a person who works long hours, this issue has resulted in significant distress for me and compromised my comfort in my own home. DJ equipment usually used which amplifies the noise further well into the night, often on week nights as well as weekends. In order to accomplish any work at... home, noise cancelling headphones are a necessity. The most disappointing aspect of this situation has been the dismissiveness by management and extremely delayed responses. I do not recommend living at Chelsea if you are a working professional, especially if you work long hours
