The Patton

This is a true community! I have met some of the best neighbors through the social events hosted monthly. It's an easy walk to the heart of downtown and the staff really goes above and beyond with taking care of the property and individual needs. They handle my packages and check on my home when I am out of town and always make me feel welcome when I come to the office. I have never met more friendlier staff and neighbors. After a few weeks of moving in a met several neighbors at an event and since we have become good friends. Its nice to live where there is a sense of community with other like minded individuals.

I like many features of the Patton. The apartments are very nice with many amenities. Management is helpful and nice. However, my life is being destroyed by the noise coming from the parking lot across the street. A group of unhoused persons have set up an informal recycling center in a parking lot across from my apartment on Pearl St. From 6 AM to 11 Am I get to listen to cans being crushed, bottles being thrown, etc. Also, I have had people yelling on the street early in the morning (I think... they come from the homeless center across from the Patton). I cannot think or work with this noise. So just be careful when choosing the Patton as your home - you may be exposed to all manners of noise pollution with no recourse (I was told to contact the police but the police in Asheville are understaffed and don't respond to noise complaints). The building management continues to be unresponsive and will tell you that they will get information to you and never do it. The entire building is filthy. Trash in parking deck that has remained for 4 months. Clothes at the entrance door to the building that are just left there. The hallways the paint looks awful and the carpets not ever vacuumed.
