Lived here for 2½ years and would not recommend this property. My biggest concerns were poor management, communication, privacy, safety, maintenance, and accountability.Although advertised as smoke-free, witnessed smoking on the property, including by mgmt. Was also accused of smoking by a maintenance employee who entered my apartment to change a filter. What he reported as a “smoking device” was actually a burned Palo Santo stick. I asked that he not return, yet he was sent back 3–4 more times... .
The property is poorly maintained. Trash frequently sits in dumpsters, stairwells, and parking areas, while valet trash is often left out on unscheduled days, causing odors. Repeatedly had to contact maintenance to properly complete repairs. My door’s weather stripping fell off, and the repair left a large gap that created another opening for pests.
Privacy and security were major concerns. Mgmt attempted to enter my apartment w/out proper notice while I was working remotely. The person was a new employee I did not know. As a woman living alone, this was frightening and unacceptable.
There were multiple vehicle and packageroom break-ins. Packages were tampered with or removed, and my vehicle was broken into while I was out of town. Mgmt told me to contact CMPD,I had to push them to notify residents about the crime.A courtesy officer was eventually hired, but residents were initially given no photo or proper introduction. One night, an unidentified man entered the clubhouse, displayed a firearm, and ordered residents to leave. We later learned he was the courtesy officer. Took months for mgmt to introduce him to the community.
Enforcement also felt inconsistent. Residents were aggressively warned about minor issues such as expired tags while more serious security and maintenance concerns remained unresolved. Observed what appeared to be a personal relationship between the assistant property manager and courtesy officer, raising concerns about fairness.Move-out was another issue. There is a mandatory $600 cleaning fee, and I was charged for minor carpet stains I believe were normal wear and tear. I was also verbally told my final bill would be due in 30 days, only to discover it was actually due in 11 days. Get everything mgmt tells you in writing. After 2½ years, would not recommend this property. Residents should not have to repeatedly fight for basic maintenance, privacy, safety communication, and accountability. If you are considering living here, look elsewhere.
