My roommate & I were told we would be able to move in 8/30. We had no communication from the office about move-in procedures, so I emailed on 8/26 to ask what was needed. Flor responded, 4 days before our move, that we would have to push the date back to 9/2 because "the carpet people were running behind." I asked if someone would be in the office that day as it was Labor Day, & Flor told me that we would actually have to push our move back to 9/6, a full week past our expected date. Thankfully,... our old landlord was willing to work with us to temporarily extend our lease.
On 9/3, I emailed again to confirm when we could come by on 9/6. We were pushed back a 3rd time to 9/13. I get that things happen & the property has no control over the pace their contractors work; but not once did anyone ever reach out to us first about these delays. Had our old landlord not been willing to work with us, we would have been homeless for 2 weeks.
I asked if we could at least sign the lease, because they’d let us do nothing but pay our security deposit; I was just told “unfortunately no”. When we did sign the lease upon move-in, we found out it was due to the terms dictating that they would have had to refund our deposit after missing our move-in date.
Moving in was just as unorganized. Flor didn’t tell us until we arrived that we had to pay our 1st month’s rent via money order, meaning we had to drive a Uhaul full of our belongings to the nearest place we could get one. Our lease had to be updated before signing because it didn’t include our pet deposits/pet rent; Flor “couldn’t remember” if it was us or the other tenant moving in that day who had pets. Someone didn’t organize the unit keys correctly, neither us nor the other tenant were able to get into our units with the keys provided, so we were given a master key for the weekend. Flor told us she’d asked management to provide us some gift cards for our moving difficulties, but as of 10/30, we’ve yet to receive those.
There were/are multiple issues in the unit that should have been fixed before we moved in, especially given the delays. no blinds in the entire unit, half the outlets downstairs don’t work at all, the patio overhang on the back is so water-damaged it’s falling apart, several planks on the patio fence are falling off, tape was left on the walls and just painted over, & more. I’ve placed 7 work orders for all the above issues & not one has been responded to since we’ve moved in.

Well, after a few weeks here, I can see why three different residents told me I made a mistake moving in.
The management, or lack thereof, is absolutely ridiculous. Trying to get in touch with anyone in the office is like pulling teeth; it's hard to get anyone on the phone, and e-mailing is basically useless, because you'll just get a poorly-written response that answers none of your questions (I'm actually pretty sure the last review before mine is from the woman in the office, because the... writing is basically identical). I was never notified in advance of multiple issues with my move, I had to be the one to reach out every single time to find out about a new problem that had come up, usually with incredibly little notice. The only person I was ever able to communicate with never really seemed concerned about what a huge, financially costly-inconvenience the entire move-in process turned into. Apparently the usual manager is out on maternity leave, or so I was told, so the one person in the office is just filling in; she either desperately needs an assistant or just needs to be replaced with someone who knows what they're doing, who can actually stay on top of managing as large a property as this is and actually address resident concerns, instead of just surprising them with bad news when they reach out.
Upon move-in, the place had been repainted and had new flooring put in, but that's about it. Outlet covers and switch plates are all terribly old and yellowed, several were missing; at least two outlets don't work, multiple bulbs were already blown out, and various other small things that absolutely should have been taken care of before move-in clearly had just been left undone. There wasn't even an air filter in place in the HVAC unit, and it was just FILLED with dust and who knows what else. I shouldn't have had to move into a unit and immediately been able to identify multiple issues I'll have to put in a work order for (who knows how long they'll take to get addressed with how management operates), especially for what's charged for rent.
I was excited to move into Crownpoint before I actually began to move in. Sad to say, my expectations certainly haven't been met.
