West Park

I lived here for two years and it was ok. I lived in the updated Vue area and those units are much nicer than the West Park ones. A few things:

-The property is right outside 401 so if you want to walk, you are confined to the property loop, which gets very boring, very quick.

-Tenants leave a LOT of dog poop in the grass. I'm talking large breed poop, as well as small bread poop. There resolution is to put a sign near the area reminding folks to be kind. This doesn't do anything. I lived at a... previous place that had you provide dna samples (stool sample) when you had a pet and this worked wonders. No one is going to be shamed into cleaning up after their dog from a sign. Sorry. Residents are left to police and report. That's not my job. That is not what I pay this place for.

-The facility is still near the base, so if you enjoy rapid fire and large explosions day and NIGHT, you'll love it here.

-The security gate at the front is a joke. People are able to simply tailgate their way through the gate behind a car that has access to it. A gentleman was able to get into the property as a solicitor, pretending to be a student at Methodist University. He was scamming people under the auspicious of providing books for children. Upon calling the front desk, I was told that simply is the nature of the gates and they couldn't do anything to stop unauthorized people from coming in. Very comforting.

Overall, if you have the money to spend on rent that is in a non-walkable area, if you don't walk on the grass too much because of the poop and you don't mind a gate that is effectively useless, then I guess this place is good. They are only able to justify their prices because of the left-to-be-desired area it finds itself in, which is really unfortunate because it causes people to commute into Fayetteville rather than live IN it. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this apartment complex. Originally I was looking forward to moving in here, and completed all the necessary paperwork and paid the associated fees. I was told the unit would be available in mid June, we're now almost 2 months past and they've attempted no contact for a status update. I've driven 2.5 hours to show up at the office to get a status update only to be told that there wasn't one, and what I did hear showed a level of mismanagement I'm glad I didn't... have to suffer through with an actual lease.

I've terminated the application and requested a refund based on the inconvenience and misrepresented nature of this unit and they've responded by blaming me, so at this point I CANNOT RECOMMEND this complex at all. Read More

The professionals at this property made relocating a seamless transition. When it came to the administrative process, everything was pretty straight forward. I can appreciate them being upfront about the additional fee for trash, cable and internet. It is well worth it though because everything is ready to go when you move in. This property is terrible!! The front office staff is so RUDE! Angela was dismissive and nasty when I tried to tell her about my loud neighbors who play music ALL NIGHT!! I have to be at work at 6:30am and these people blast music and cook on their grills and throw parties well into 4 and 5 in the freaking morning on weekdays!!!! I was looking for more information about the apartment complex, and to talk to someone about some questions I had, and I spoke to a very helpful girl, Haylee. She made it very easy for me to understand what all is included in what West Park has to offer! I would definitely recommend speaking to Haylee if you have questions or concerns. Overall I had a great time visiting and seeing the apartment complex. The people helping me had a very respectful and caring attitude and actually made me feel... like West Park could be my new home!
