The Apartments at St. Mary's

I lived at 600 Saint Mary’s in Raleigh for two years, and I strongly advise prospective residents to consider my experience before signing a lease.

**During my second year, the elevator serving my apartment and the parking garage broke down repeatedly, once remaining out of service for more than four months. On another occasion, a visitor and I were trapped inside for over 15 minutes and had to be rescued by the fire department.

**The pool bathrooms near my apartment frequently produced strong... odors, particularly on weekends, and my unit had a serious cockroach problem. Despite paying a monthly pest-control fee, I received no routine pest treatments during that year.

**My car was also towed without my knowledge after management failed to give me the required parking tag, even though they had my vehicle information and I paid for parking each month. Management acknowledged the oversight but refused to reimburse the nearly $600 towing cost.

**More than 60 days after moving out, I am still seeking part of my security-deposit refund. Management acknowledged that a charge was deducted in error, yet repeated emails and in-person follow-ups have not resolved the matter.

Based on the repeated maintenance failures, poor communication, and unresolved financial issues I experienced, I cannot recommend this property.

St. Mary's Square changed management companies in September 2018.

Continental raised the rent and starting cutting services. Trash is piling up, elevators do not function, and the property is not maintained. Printers, wifi, coffee machines simply do not work. Hallways are filthy. This is becoming a terrible place to live. You will regret moving here.

I moved into St Marys about 8 months ago and have lived in many other apartments around Raleigh. I love living here, the amenities are great, maintenance is fast, their floor plan options are very open and warm, and the location is ideal! Would highly recommend!

I’ve lived here for about 7 months now. Started at a 1 bedroom and just recently upgraded to a 2BR. I absolutely love the staff and all the amenities. I have a dog and she loves the dog park here! Transferring to a bigger apartment was so easy as well. I can’t wait for summertime so I can hang out by the pool again!

I lived in this apartment just over two years and only left because of a job relocation. The apartment was beautiful and in a great location. The staff was definitely a selling point as well. They were super friendly and very helpful. Maintenance was great and I never waited on anything. I would recommend if you are looking for a place downtown this is the place.
