Englewood Village, LLC

I moved in about a week ago and felt the need to share my experience thus far. The technician of this complex ruined a rug in the apartment with a caulk gun and left footprints on the floors and it was left this way. They offered to clean it but I refused and I was not compensated at all.

The first morning of my stay I woke up to no electricity which was not PSE&G's fault but something they had to call an electrician for to fix the problem. My food in the fridge had to be moved and some... went bad. I was also late for work.

There was a cockroach found the first day I moved in.

The switch to the staircase lights did not properly work upon my move in date and I needed to bring this up to management again that this was still an issue.

One of the new appliances that had to be replaced was dented, minor issue but this is another one of the annoyances that I experienced.

Overall I like to leave positive comments with products or services but I felt the unfairness of the situation should be brought to light. Management is great and very professional but this is more of a headsup to things I experienced staying at Englewood Village for a week.

About a year ago, while apartment hunting in NJ, we chanced upon Englewood Village. It was the end of another tiring, frustrating and fruitless day. But this charming and beautiful place quickly changed our mood. The wonderful lady at the rental office was warm, friendly and professional.

However, just before signing the lease, we also chanced upon the reviews on this website. I suspect a lot of them were written by mean-spirited and spiteful former residents. I am glad we decided to check the... veracity of the statements for ourselves, as I would encourage anyone else to do as well. We were told by the people who lived here that they loved it. The heating was great and so was the management.

Now, that we have completed a year here, I am glad to report that they were quite right. The manager is superbly efficient patiently hearing out any complaint and setting it right in 2-3 days at the most. The gardens are beautifully manicured and the team of supers ensures that snow is promptly removed, as are leaves, garbage, etc. The only negative thing that I read that was partly true was the fact that the garages used to be old and broken down. They have now been replaced by shiny new garages, which look very tempting!

The buildings may be old, but they have been beautifully kept and don t look it. We loved the gleaming hardwood floors and spacious bedrooms right away. Although our place didn't come with a built in washer-dryer, most apartments do have them, and there are 3 facilities within the premises for those that don't. i loved moving into my new apartment because it was like a fresh canvas-- you had newly sanded wood floors, fresh painted walls, new blinds, et al..the layout was perfect.. and you were free to decorate it any way you wished. No need to work around anyone's mistakes. The second thing i love about the apartment is the 'concierge' service. From the ongoing maintenance of the beautiful gardens to the affordable prices, excellent service and spacious apartments, Englewood Village is the real deal. I love living here and I guarantee you will too.

I have a one bedroom apartment at Englewood Village that I love very much. I have lots of sunlight coming trough the windows and beautiful views of the trees and the sun set from my dining room window. I love the hardwood floors and coziness of my place. The administration staff is excellent and the proximity to NYC makes this apartment complex one of the best in the area, I feel at home.
