Roomy, Friendly, Convenient
I’ve lived at The Bradford for 9 months now and am enjoying it very much. My apartment is SPACIOUS—much more square footage than other properties I considered. The building has about 20 apartments and has a cozy feel. A community suite is open for residents 24/7 and can be reserved for private parties. Modern kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless appliances; large windows throughout. I was happily surprised to find spacious closets fitted with custom shelves and drawers. Ample storage... units for residents are located on the dry ground floor near the common workout facility.
The building was recently purchased by new owners who have committed to regular upkeep and improvements. Sadly for snow country, there is no garage; however, the private parking lot behind the building has more than enough space to accommodate residents and their guests. The lot was recently resurfaced and striped. In my experience, the building managers and super are responsive, friendly and easy to work with.
For me a big advantage is its convenient location: entrance ramp to 481; Dewitt Wegman’s, Topps and Aldi’s; Jamesville/Dewitt schools and public library; places of worship for many denominations; dry cleaners; Syracuse University; and many restaurants & conveniences on Erie Blvd. Despite nearby urban services, the place has a calm country feel. My sweet pooch and I walk the quiet, safe neighborhood streets every morning and evening.
A friend told me about The Bradford lay year when I recently moved back to the Syracuse area. Otherwise I may not have viewed it. A well-kept secret? Who knows? but I am glad I found it.
