15 Bank Apartments

Unfortunately there's constant loud renovation noise on most days, jackhammers, demolition , drilling etc. Unlivable if you work remote/hybrid. Avoid this building until renovations are completely done. Also, take a look at most recent Google reviews, those are more accurate.

We lived at 15 Bank for several years and chose to stay — and even upgrade to a larger unit — because of the location and the concierge and maintenance staff, who have generally been helpful.

However, corporate and property management handling significantly changed our experience.

After moving out of our prior unit, most of our security deposit was not returned within the legal deadline required under New York law. Only a partial refund was issued. A second partial refund followed after I... posted public reviews. The remaining balance is still unpaid despite written follow-up. A small claims case is pending, and the matter is documented with the NY Attorney General.

More recently, on Feb 7, a gas leak incident affected multiple floors of the building. Staff on duty were unable to reach management for several hours and reported being instructed by maintenance personnel to close doors and not call 911. Emergency responders ultimately arrived after a resident placed a 911 call. Firefighters advised those present that the situation could have become dangerous if not addressed when it was. Residents were not formally notified until two days later. A city incident report has been requested, and safety complaints have been filed with both the City and the NY Attorney General for review.

15 bank made it so that we can't get someone to answer the phone when we call for maintance. We dont have working elevators consistently. Theres been construction for more than a year. The garage has constant problems with not letting people in or out.

15 Bank advertises itself as pet friendly but does not disclose that only one tower is actually fully pet friendly. Our leasing agent showed us an apartment in the North tower that he said was availaible to us but then afterwards told us we couldn't have it because it was above the 8th floor and we have pets (this is information we had already told him). Our pets are registered Emotional Support Animals and he told us that didn't matter (even though it is illegal to restrict housing for ESAs).... I'm going to assume he just didn't know the laws around ESAs but it was still disconcerting. In addition to this, we were displeased that dogs are not allowed to be in the outdoor common spaces, including the lawn. We are looking for an apartment where when it's nice outside, we can be with our dogs (in somewhere besides the small dog park). Because of this, we are not interested in renting at 15 Bank.

All that being said, if you don't have pets this seems like a nice place to live. It was clean and seemed well-managed, and the apartments were nice. I'm very dissapointed about their pet policies because otherwise I would have enjoyed living here. Read More

While this building is marketed as a luxury property, the only true luxury here is the exceptional door staff. Unfortunately, there are recurring issues that detract from the experience.

The lack of reliable hot water during winter has been a consistent problem. Despite maintenance efforts, the issue often reoccurs within a week, and management has provided little explanation or resolution. Last year, they mentioned replacing the boilers, but the same problem persists this winter, with no... apology for the inconvenience.
Additionally, the plumbing is subpar, with outdated faucets and appliances that don’t match the building’s “luxury” branding.
Overall, while the location and staff are great, the ongoing maintenance problems make it hard to justify the premium price. Read More
