Do Not Rent at The Blonde

I strongly advise against renting at The Blonde or any St. Xavier Park property. My experience living here has been overwhelmingly negative due to the following issues:
- Safety Concerns: I feel unsafe daily. Drug dealing occurs right outside the building, homeless people aggressively hassle me for money, and drug paraphernalia is regularly left on the sidewalks. I have witnessed fights outside, hear gunshots regularly, and see police responses multiple times a week.
- Unenforced Smoking Policy:...
Despite being advertised as a non-smoking property, my apartment smells like marijuana daily. The leasing office ignores repeated complaints.
- Property Management & Staff: The management team is rude, unhelpful, and unresponsive. My personal items have been damaged during maintenance requests. They also refuse to accommodate emotional support animals.
- Noise Disturbance: The building has serious noise issues. I am routinely woken up at night by street traffic, sirens, and neighboring units.
- Poor Maintenance & Amenities: Building amenities are poorly maintained and fall short compared to better, more affordable options nearby. The elevator is unreliable. I was once trapped inside for 10 minutes. Common areas frequently have uncleaned pet waste.
- Parking Constraints: Resident parking is not provided; you must pay extra to rent space in an external lot or garage.
Please look elsewhere. The poor management, lack of security, and disregard for residents make this a very unpleasant place to live.

poor management

I was initially attracted to this apartment building, but unfortunately, my experience with management was disappointing. The building frequently becomes dirty, and maintenance has been inconsistent at best. Despite repeated requests, cleaning and upkeep were not addressed to the standard one would expect. I ultimately chose to leave due to the management's lack of support. Policies seem overly rigid, with charges applied to even minor issues, often explained as simply 'policy.' Additionally, I... noticed cars towed for parking outside the building, creating unnecessary hassle for residents and visitors alike. I was a student at the time and explained that expenses would be drawn from my financial aid, management offered no support and continued to apply charges without consideration. I wouldn’t recommend this property for anyone seeking a responsive and supportive management team.

Horrible Management

It's a decent building, but for the price, you can find nicer buildings downtown. Management is very poor with their communication. I had a time where it was 6PM and my heat in my apartment was going haywire so my apartment got to 93 degrees, and I could not get any responses from management that night to fix it. Further, when I moved out I paid for an extra 6 weeks of rent after moving out, and the building threw out all of my things while I was still paying for the rent. It's a fine building,... but there are much better alternatives.
