I have been living one of these apartments for almost a year. Mice started infesting this place a few weeks after I moved in because of holes in numerous places in here. Because this management is so lax, now its a full blown mice infestation. I am up now because of a mouse scratching and noise in my bedroom. They have eaten through the floor of the apartment from below in numerous places and now they are just everywhere. I work from home and cannot start work most days for either chasing a... mouse, throwing out one on a pad or cleaning up mice droppings. This bad exterminator, Western does nothing but come, look and put down sticky pads and told me to get a cat. Many residents are complaining of the same thing and one has eveb had two rats in her apartment. I live in fear and axiety daily because of this. I am looking to get out this dump but still demand this place take care of this mice infestation aggressively, but they have not! I hear a mouse now under the fridge scratching. This is a nightmare living here. These people knew they had a problem with mice prior to me moving in but never told me. Old droppings were found along with old bait boxes in under the sink and old sticky pads behind the stove but while viewing this place, the representative never told me there was a mouse problem in this apartment who I would not have moved in here! So beware because they are Knowingly renting apartments with mice problems! Read reviews everywhere, residents are complaining about mice. They refused to move me so I am looking for a new residence. DO NOT MOVE IN THESE DUMPS! You will see a response to this review from them stating they have or are doing everything to resolve this problem and we care about our residents. Do not believe it. I cannot use most of my apartment because of this infestation. I cannot cook in my oven because of these mice running back and forth under it when I use it. They were eating up my furniture. i told this management, they did nothing. I have bought lots of supplies to try and rid this apartment of mice like large sticky pads, peppermint, steel wool, poison, etc and have caught about 40 mice while this horrible exterminator, WESTERN has not been any help! This was by far the worst living experience of my life. Blair Mill Village East Apartment Homes should honestly be condemned.

These were NOT unit-specific issues.. they were clearly property-wide and ongoing. We experienced a severe mice infestation for the entire time we lived there. Maintenance told us there was nothing they could do because the mice were “field mice.” Over 15 months, we personally killed around seven mice in our apartment.

We also had wasps coming out of the air vents daily... , which is terrifying and unacceptable. Maintenance confirmed there were multiple wasp nests located in the balcony closet where the air duct is, yet nothing meaningful was done. A so-called “wasp expert” came out, listened to the vents, and said, “I don’t hear any buzzing right now, so there’s nothing we can do,” despite us visibly watching wasps fly out of the vents every day.

I am allergic to bees/wasps, making this situation dangerous and negligent. That was the final straw.

While we were on vacation for a week, the property’s “contractors” entered our apartment (which happened frequently and often on their own terms). When we returned, we discovered the lights left on and the balcony door wide open! It had rained while we were gone! We came home to multiple pests inside the unit, including a giant bumblebee. This raised serious safety and sanitation concerns, yet management simply shifted the blame onto the contractors instead of taking responsibility.

The leasing office is unhelpful, maintenance is lazy and ineffective, and basic utilities were unreliable. Hot water was constantly shut off, often with little or no notice, and electricity outages were frequent. These conditions affected the overall community, not just one apartment.

What makes this worse is that we had recently renewed our lease, yet we were forced to pay a crazy early termination fee to get away from unsafe living conditions. On top of that, they still raised the rent at renewal, which is unbelievable given the state of this property. Read More

I just moved into this apartment a few months ago. Besides other issues, there is a mice issue here. I read this online after having this problem myself. The exterminator has not been any help so I have literally about 15 traps in this place. I work from home and instead of working this morning, I am trying chase down a mouse. He ran behinds the fridge and in moving it, I injured my finger! I can't even work in peace. I moved in from a place that had no mice. Now I cannot get rid of them! STAY AWAY! This place is terrible and they now made a new listing under a new company to mask all of the bad reviews. It is rodent infested, there is mold everywhere, and maintenance doesn’t fix anything. The leasing office doesn’t answer the phone or respond to emails.
