The Docks Apartments and Townhomes

Between the trains, the drunks, the dogs, the cars, and the neighbors and their pets you won't be getting any sleep or peace and quiet. The apartments and amenities are cheaply made and poorly maintained. The maintenance team will in your apartment more than you will whether you asked them to be or not. This place is a representation of everything wrong with landlords today. I hate this place and the people who run it.

I recently applied to move into the apartment. My application was successful, and was immediately charged the $199 admin fee that is due upon move-in. Due to a recent surgery, I inquired about a later availability. Everything thus far was done by phone/online. When I viewed the apartment in person, it did not live up to the pictures. It looks like they took the pictures when the complex was first built, because it is not new in person. In the stairwell, there was lots of dog poop, dirt, and... cobwebs. Inside the unit, there was a large water stain on the ceiling and tape on the damaged balcony screen. I canceled the application. I am compelled to write this review about my experience living at The Dock's Apartments, and it pains me to give them a one-star rating. My family and I have been residents here for quite some time, but recent events have left us deeply disappointed and concerned for our well-being.

My son suffers from asthma and a severe histoplasmosis allergy, specifically to bird droppings. We've been notifying the management office about this issue since June of this year, yet, shockingly, the bird... droppings on his bedroom window have not been cleaned for over a year. This negligence not only worsens his health condition but also creates an unsanitary living environment.

To make matters worse, our son's pediatrician recommended replacing the bedroom carpet with hard flooring due to a dust mite allergy he developed. Despite our requests, the management office has consistently refused to make this crucial change for our son's health.

It's disheartening that the management has shown such disregard for our family's well-being and safety. We followed all required protocols for reporting these concerns promptly, but our pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

I implore anyone considering living here to think twice. The lack of action on the management's part has left us with no option but to consider leaving this place we once called home. Our family deserves better, and so do you. Read More

This place had really gone downhill although the rent continues to go up. School District and dogs are the only reasons to stay. Staff is fine but overworked. No money is put into upkeep unless it’s quick cosmetic. No consideration for longtime tenants.

The walls are very very thin and when you complain your be told the issue is you. If you looking for a nice place while building a home or need to find something safe, this is for you. If your a light sleeper or ever had issues with thin walls, don’t bother.
