A Great Experience The office and maintenance staff at the Palisades at Howell Road apartment community are excellent in everything they do. They are very courteous, helpful, and professional, which makes the community at Palisades at Howell Road Apartments a great place to live.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT

Before Southwood realty bought this place it was an amazing place to live. The office staff truly cared about you and worked with you when you had problems. Now they don't care at all. Not only did my roommate and I have a neighbor that threatened to hurt us and our dogs, but when we provided tons and tons of video evidence we were told nothing could be done. The parking situation is horrendous. There are broken down cars, trailers, and cars that sit there in parking spots for weeks on end. Yet... we still have no where to park and are forced to park against curbs. The only answer this company has for this problem is to tow their residents. We pay way too much money for these apartments to not have parking and then to be towed. When we asked what we were supposed to do when we arrived home and there were no parking spaces we were told "I dont know what to tell you." So unless you want to get towed, if there's no parking, you better park across the street and walk across the road with a chance of getting hit by a car. The walls are so thin that you hear absolutely everything. This is advertised as a gated community, well its not because the gates are either always broken or just left open for days on end. The dog park is disgusting and tiny but it's frowned upon to let your dogs play in your apartment. You can't throw away any large items in the dumpster or else you will be fined because they have cameras up at the dumpster.
The car wash and dog washing stations are always broken. My apartment has a bedroom that is always hotter than the rest of the house yet they can't figure out why or how to fix it. There's dog crap everywhere because the dog pick up stations are always out of doggy bags. There are so many rules and regulations that are unnecessary and just straight up stupid that its ridiculous, yet the office is not willing to help you out. This place is 100% not worth the price and frustration.

We definitely understand that rules can be irritating to follow and hard to understand sometimes; but we must... have them to ensure that the community is maintained at the highest level. Please do know that parking on curbs, etc. is not permitted, anywhere, unless it is a designated space. We would be more than happy to sit down with you to discuss the issues. Please call or come by the office so that we may discuss further, as this is just as important to us, as it is you. This is your home.

Looking for a honest, respectful and friendly Management and Maintenance Staff . . .

Who puts your needs first? This is the place! Thus far, I have lived here for a year and I love it! I have not experienced bugs, nor mold. I did experience the gates being broken, but during that time, I did not feel unsafe and daily, I saw the repairmen “completely replace the gates” and system. Guess what? Management not only absorbed the cost, but issued new keys to the residents free of charge! I think that was awesome and I thank Management for their generosity! The office staff always... greets me with genuine concern, have warm smiles and are very compassionate. The Maintenance Staff are outstanding! They all have that, “Get her done son!,” mentality. I love that Management thoroughly and diligently stays abreast of offenders! I used to live at nearby Ashton Woods and had the complete opposite experience, with everyone and everything! I thank God for the entire Staff at Ardmore. They are a class act within itself! I’m retired and watch from afar, that they work hard. I appreciate their show appreciation to their tenants, by having different fun contests. Guys, keep up to great work! Kudos to you all! PS - No, I’m not part of the staff, nor was I paid to write this review!

Not worth it

I lived here for just a year. It started out great, as I was moving for work from out of town and loved that it was gated (I am a female and lived alone). The amenities are awesome but don’t be fooled!

Within weeks of moving in the following things happened:
- Paper thin walls
- Gates broked (at least twice a month)
- Pool was often closed down
- Police woke me up multiple times from other residents fighting, one time there was even a brawl outside of my apartment and I called the police!
-...
People have late parties by the pool/ grill and take over the space
- Jumping bugs all over my apartment
- Mold that caused health problems (I’m severely allergic) that they failed to fix
- Never any parking spots

You can find MANY other apartments in this price range in and around Greenville, I promise!

I would like to state that the events at the pool will be proactively monitored by our courtesy officer going forward next pool season. As for the pool closures, it is our policy that if glass is found in the pool, we must thoroughly clean it to prevent any further issues; along with periodic deep cleaning.
