A 4WD/AWD vehicle with snow tires is mandatory during the winter months for the last block to the house. A bus is available to travel up and down the canyon, but a vehicle is recommended.

The deck railing was damaged by an ice fall last spring, and while permits are being obtained for rebuilding, the deck is currently incomplete.
