Long Delays in Resolving a Maintenance Issue
The roof above my bed started leaking on May 15, 2026, and it has now been 2 months without a permanent repair. Becky initially said that the issue would be fixed within a few days, but the timeline has been repeatedly extended with little communication or accountability.
Because this is a studio apartment, I don't have enough space to move my belongings out of the affected area. I have had to sleep, work, and store my belongings in the living room. While management provided a storage unit as a... temporary solution, I still haven't been able to use nearly half of my apartment. Becky offered to let me break my lease and move out, but I did not want to move out because the initial repair timeline provided was shorter, and I did not know that the deadline would continue to be extended. The leak has also begun damaging my bed.
When I requested a rent concession, given that I have been unable to use half of the apartment and have had to sleep in my living room area, Becky offered to provide an air mattress to sleep on in the living room while continuing to charge me full rent.
