Trillium

I've only been here for two months, but so far Trillium is head and shoulders above any previous rental unit I've leased. The apartments are nice, maintenance is quick to respond to issues, and costs are reasonable compared to other luxury apartments in the area.

Although the rent isn’t awful, expect to pay hundreds more than rent in random questionable fees. Parking spot (used to be free), mandatory Complex WiFi, door to door trash pickup (separate from typical trash billing), common room gas electric and pest control, damage waivers, and service bills even if you don’t have maintenance requests.

I strongly recommend looking elsewhere before signing a lease here.

My experience with this property has been a series of problems, and Trillium’s response has been incredibly frustrating.

I originally moved into this complex after electrical issues in my previous unit, wanting a place where I could feel safe from fire-related problems. Unfortunately, I ended up dealing with a fire incident here. On July 4th a barbecue caught fire near the building, causing exterior damage.

Today, August... 8th, I’m still dealing with the consequences. My unit has a front door that doesn’t properly seal from being kicked in & a cracked window, allowing wildfire smoke inside. My son has been experiencing nosebleeds, and I’m trying to get my children into a safer living environment.

I contacted management about transferring to another unit within the same property. Instead of treating this as a safety issue, I was told I’d have to pay a $750 transfer fee.

I’m not asking to move because I want a nicer apartment or changed my mind. I’m trying to relocate because my unit has unresolved problems affecting my children and me.

I’ve also found the lease situation frustrating. When I’ve tried to find a reasonable way to leave or relocate because of the problems here, I’ve faced significant financial and contractual barriers instead of feeling like Trillium was interested in helping.

The biggest issue isn’t that things have gone wrong—problems can happen anywhere. It’s how those problems are handled. After everything that has happened, I expected management to prioritize getting residents into safe, habitable units. Instead, I’m being asked to pay $750 to transfer within the same complex.

Anyone considering renting here should review the lease, ask about transfer and termination fees, and consider how management handles major issues before signing.
