Walls are paper thin
You pay so much money for a mediocre apartment. I could hear everything my neighbors above me were saying and they would let their kids run up and down the stairs all day long. Management wasn’t helpful in solving the issue. My landlord was a nice lady, but her bosses were not.

I'm sorry you weren't happy in the apartment. From what I can tell from your review I think you were a resident before we took over management. As far as the noise concern, that's always a tricky issue. When you live in an apartment building you... are going to hear your neighbors. This is what you should expect in any apartment building. Our property has a quality sound proofing system that includes a layer of concrete between the first and second floor. With that said, it is normal to be able to hear footsteps at times. Hearing conversations from above seems unlikely as we've tested this and normal conversations cannot be heard. As far as your concern about the kids above you, I'm sure everyone reading this can understand that kids are going to make noise at times. I'm sure our residents don't want us evicting every tenant that has kids that make noise. We hope that our residents show each other grace and understanding.
