Really Like It
I was worried about the train tracks more than anything as they are so close to our building but they really have not been much of an issue. The trains are super random and we can go for days without one and then have 4 in one day. They are also short and you get used to them quickly, so don't let the train tracks discourage you.
Our apartment is nice and we love the layout. It's relatively quiet other than the noise from above us which is pretty unavoidable in an apartment, especially since... there are children over our heads. Also our balcony has been a bit of an issue with a neighbor constantly smoking and the smoke pouring onto our space. Those are really the main negatives regarding the space. Management is not terribly responsive but I think a lot of that is due to short staffing and everything surrounding the pandemic. I'm hoping this gets better. The package room can be a bit of a mess and carriers drop packages in the lobby on weekends which sucks, but that is not the fault of the apartment complex but the package delivery services.
The amenities are great. Storage area is huge for the price and climate controlled. It's one of the only places in the area where you get two, underground parking spots for no additional charge. Trash room could have been done better and often is overflowing when there are move ins. You also have to go outdoors to get to the trash room which will be a pain in the winter, but there are worse things I guess. It would have been nice if the buildings had trash chutes and their own trash rooms.
Overall I'm really happy with our decision to live here, even with the downsides listed. We are close to so many things. Walking outdoors is nice and it's safe. The place seems well built and the rooms are a nice size. The finishes in the building we're in are nice and modern. Overall, other than the upstairs neighbors walking and dropping things, it's very quiet.
This is the review I would have liked to have seen when making my decision to live here. I tried to address all of the questions I had an but could not get an answer for. I hope this review helps someone else who is considering living here.
