Moderne Apartments

Overall horrible! I will list each item separately but there are many on top of many. In this post I will talk about one of many items that are in disrepair! The computer / business room is a complete joke. I have had an apartment here for about 9 years. The last several times I visited the computer room to print something quickly, 3 of the 4 computers have not worked and the laser printer was broken or low on toner and would not print. It they don’t want a room that works, they should have a... room at all as an amenity. If they are going to have this amenity then it should work!!! The workout equipment sticky and no TV and sometimes doesn't work. The WiFi does not work. TV's around common areas either don't work or you cannot change the channel and I could go on and on and on. Reasonably good value for money, but towed my car without ever trying to contact me - or even letting me know they did it.

To be fair, I did let my registration expire, so they did have the right to do so. And they say they put a note on it - so they did meet the terms of the lease. But not how I like to come back to town. Perhaps I’m unreasonable to expect the courtesy, but a warning call, text, or email would have been greatly appreciated. If not before you tow it, then at least after?

Let... me know why my car isn’t in the parking lot, so I don’t have to wonder around and call to see if it’s stolen. It’s the little things.

This property fit all of my criteria and I was ready to find a unit and move in as soon as possible. However this place does not respond to calls or emails for prospective residents so I can’t imagine how poorly they treat actual residents. My review is solely based on the fact that even as an outsider, you can tell how poorly ran it is.

During my two-year residency at The Moderne apartment complex, my experience as a tenant was far from satisfactory due to several significant issues:

A drastic management change resulted in a decline in the overall resident experience. The new management company's approach was subpar compared to the previous company.
The initially advertised rent prices were deceptive, with hidden fees adding significant monthly costs for tenants.
High vacancy and Airbnb usage created an uncomfortable living... environment, with a constant stream of strangers and potential disruptions.
Poorly executed changes to payment methods led to residents incurring hefty late fees due to lack of communication.
Unjustified cleaning fees were imposed, with additional charges for deep cleaning upon lease disposition.
An unreasonable policy of charging tenants for lightbulb replacements, which should be the responsibility of the management.
The inexperienced manager failed to address resident concerns effectively, exacerbating issues faced by tenants.
The management displayed a troubling lack of responsiveness regarding lease renewals, providing little assistance or information.
In conclusion, my experience at The Moderne, particularly under the new management, was filled with disappointment and frustration. The management change, payment method disruption, unjustified cleaning fees, unreasonable lightbulb charges, inexperienced manager, unresponsiveness regarding lease renewals, misleading rent pricing, and high vacancy with Airbnb usage all contributed to a deteriorating resident experience. Considering these factors, I strongly advise against choosing The Moderne as a place of residence under the current management. Read More

Luxury apartment that dared called themselves “luxury”. Constantly increasing rent and removing amenities throughout my 2 years of living here. Staff is rude and unhelpful. They will make living here a living hell. Can’t wait for my lease to end. Do not believe the pictures on the website or the events that they claimed to have. They will constantly nickel and dime you on everything. It’s not worth the headache. Especially for a place that says they’re a luxury apartment. Emails go unanswered.... Things go unfixed for years. Spend ridiculous amount of money on things that make the place uglier every day and ignored things that actually matter. I actually had a conversation with them today and they said that amenities are NOT A PART OF THEIR RENT.
