Pearl Creek

Poor communication and unprofessional management. I was charged rent even after my unit was re-rented, and false debt was reported to a collection agency, hurting my credit. Repeated follow-ups were ignored, and I never received a clear account statement. Extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled.

When I first was given the apartment, there were dead wasps all over the floors and the place wasn't cleaned. I had to remove the wasps myself and request the place be cleaned. After cleaning the counters in the kitchen and both bathrooms were heavily stained black and yellow the maintenance crew couldn't get out. The toilet was stained black. The lights didn't work and are very dim. The dryer door was broken. The cabinets wouldn't open. The smoke alarm didn't work and nobody ever showed up to... fix it till this day. Theres stray cats all around our building. Our door lock isn't aligned and doesn't work properly. The ice maker had stopped working. The flooring is coming apart. We lived there for a few years and would have stayed longer if the rent didn’t constantly go up dramatically each time we renewed our lease. The best part about this place is the maintenance Staff Jose. He’s super nice and works really hard. I feel safe walking the grounds at night and the location is great. We enjoy roasting s’mores at the fire pit as well as salt water pool. We did have an ant problem when we first moved in as the other reviewer mentioned but we got some ant traps and took... care of it ourselves with success. Hopefully we will get some of our deposit back. Don’t bother cleaning as they told us when we did pre-move out inspection that even if apt is cleaned well they will still keep a few hundred dollars of deposit to hire ‘professional cleaners’ so we’ll see (may need to update review depending on how much they keep as I spent A LOT of time cleaning the place. Had I been told beforehand they would keep a few hundred to ‘professionally’ clean the place I wouldn’t have spent all the time and $ on cleaning products and just did bare min). They will take your deposit and won’t care about you. Im sure they pay people or make fake profiles to give themselves 5star reviews.

We really liked living at Pearl Creek. We lived in a 2 bed 2 bath and always felt safe, and the apartment was well kept. When it was time to renew our lease, the new rent price was $448 more per month than what we were initially paying. They do not care about their current tenants, no matter their longevity or good standing. They care about the money. We moved out about 6 months ago and I can see they have since lowered their prices- I guess they couldn’t find renters to pay an outrageous amount... of money. Also probably why they have so many 2x2 available. While we were moving out, several of our neighbors stopped us to ask if we were moving out because of the rent increase as they were also struggling to figure out how they would pay the substantial increase.
